Since our founding in 2015, Dobbs Legal Group, LLC, with lawyers Polly Dobbs and Matt Folz, has expanded to reach hundreds of families in need of estate, business, and farm succession plans. To continue providing the same responsive service to our existing and future clients, we added attorney, Makayla DePoy last fall, and recently have also added attorney, Margie Rice, and administrative assistant, Megan Dragstrem.
Margie Rice joined Dobbs Legal Group after practicing law solely in southern Indiana for twenty-five years. She helps the clients of Dobbs Legal Group with their legal matters that are outside the estate and farm succession planning niche where our other lawyers concentrate, focusing on business and real estate needs, and local government, regulatory, and compliance issues.
Margie was born and raised in Peru, Indiana, where her family has lived for generations. Her life’s path took her to Butler University, then on to Bloomington where she obtained her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the Maurer School of Law. The first two plus decades of her career included working as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Lawrence County, a stint in private practice, followed by an esteemed career representing Monroe County Government and the City of Bloomington, while also serving as an adjunct instructor at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. She maintains a strong connection to and a true fondness for her hometown.
Margie resides in Bloomington, Indiana, with her husband, Steve, and their two sons. As a lifelong Hoosier, she is excited to return to private practice. (https://dobbsfolz.com/about-margie-rice/)
Megan will be joining Savannah Harvey and Emily Allen to round out our team. Their supporting roles are crucial to providing quality and responsive client service, and they are invaluable in our efforts to continue expanding into the future.
Please help us welcome our Margie and Megan to our Dobbs Legal Group team!
